Dear colleagues,

To strengthen our joint campaign for a UN Resolution to Protect Civilian Translators and Interpreters, FIT has worked with Red T to create a template for a letter to the UN ambassadors of various countries. This template is designed as a guide and its content can be adapted by the respective sender. 

To highlight the plight of translators and interpreters in areas of high conflict and to urge UN ambassadors to issue a call for a UN Resolution to Protect Civilian Translators and Interpreters, we urge all FIT member organisations to send an “official” version to their UN Ambassador (in New York). In order to bring as much pressure to bear as possible, we would also ask you please to distribute the template to all your individual members so that they can take a stand and become involved as well. In this way, we hope to draw the maximum amount of attention to our cause. 

We hope that many letters and/or emails will be sent!
