A kind invitation has been extended by AUT for interested members to attend a presentation being made to the Advanced Health Interpreting class:
Date: Friday 21 October between 12.30 and approximately 2pm
Venue: AUT Room WH 318 - Hospitality building corner Wellesley Street and Mayoral Drive
Speaker 1, 12.15-1pm: PATRICK AU (Asian Mental Health section of the ADHB)
Patrick Au works for the Asian Mental Health section of the ADHB and has experience in interpreting within the Asian languages in this sector. He will speak on interpreting in mental health settings.
Speaker 2, 1.15-2pm: AUDREY HUTCHINSON
Audrey Hutchinson is an ex-mental-health and well-being counsellor at AUT but also is now a fulltime LGBT worker for AUT, specialising in gender and terminology and issues regarding sexuality and equity. She will speak on gender and terminology etc.
