TOPIC: "What happens up-stream? How your work gets to you"

Some concepts, ideas and technologies used to get "content" to the "supplier"

A first hand snapshot by Christof Schneider about his work as workflow and technology consultant for Lingo24. This will be a rough "behind the scenes of an LSP", touching on some typical issues with growing as a translation service provider, the remedies, and how to get to the "big content". This talk will also touch on technologies and tools that Language Service Providers use to keep you busy.

As usual, the evening will start at 6.30 pm with juice and nibbles and time for socialising and networking before the AGM.

ACCESS: after-hours access to the Arts 2 building is via the door on Level 3, then up two floors to the Patrick Hanan Room (i.e. from Level 3 to Level 5). Please note that the entrance off Symonds Street is the Level 4 door, which may be locked after hours. Attendees have to go down one flight of steps outside the building from street level to get to the Level 3 entrance on the courtyard level.
