Greetings all,

We look forward very much to catching up with you all at the first meeting of 2016 in early February.   

As advised, a guest speaker from Australia will be replacing the scheduled presentation.  

Professor John Minford will speak on:

Translation as a Way of Life  - with reference to  his life  spent translating  Chinese classical literature.

Professor Minford is a literary translator and Emeritus Professor of Chinese at the School of Culture, History and Language in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. As a translator, he is primarily known for his translations of Chinese literary classics, including The Story of the Stone and Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, and more recently, the ancient Chinese book of wisdom, the I Ching.
