Topic: The new Australasian Code of Ethics for Translators and Interpreters
Speaker: Dr. Sabine Fenton
NZSTI and AUSIT and their Sign Language colleagues from SLIANZ and ASLIA have recently revised their respective Codes of Ethics to align the documents and update them. What is new in the resulting joint document and what does it say anyway?
We are hoping for a very interactive session. So please bring your questions and issues, and we will discuss them with the expert guidance of Dr. Sabine Fenton, one of the leading pioneers of Translation and Interpreting studies and practitioners in New Zealand.
Access to the Arts 2 Building is through the main entrance on Symonds St and then up one floor.
Follow the signs to the Patrick-Hanan Room.
Parking: Remember, parking in the surrounding city streets is free after 6 p.m., but very limited.
Paid parking is available for a flat evening rate of $6 in the Owen Glenn Building (Business School), 12 Grafton Road.
So come and meet your colleagues for an interesting and informative evening, some socialising and networking.
