TM Europe 2012 - Registration Open
Dear Colleague,
The programme is now published for TM-Europe 2012 International Translation Management Conference which will take place on 4 and 5 October 2012 in Warsaw, Poland. There will be a project management workshop on the pre-conference day, 3 October.
Click here to view the TM-Europe 2012 Programme.
The conference will traditionally focus on management issues for the translation and localisation industry, with particular emphasis on new business models and technology.
Chris Durban and Mark Childress of SAP are the keynote speakers at the conference.
The theme for TM-Europe 2012 is "The Future of Translation and Localisation". The industry is currently undergoing major changes which offer great opportunities but also pose serious threats to traditional business models. Many new developments and business factors are changing the translation and localization industry of today, including social media, auction based purchasing, cloud computing, machine translation, crowdsourcing, etc. TM-Europe 2012 will focus on these topics as well as some technology and management case studies and panel discussions on the best models for facing tomorrow's challenges. The final Warsaw Pact Debate will discuss the pros and cons of adopting different strategies, as well as alternative visions of the future of the translation and localization business.
The deadline for early bird registration is 25 August 2012.
The programme committee for TM-Europe 2012 is:
