FULL MEMBERS ONLY: Registration as a Translator with NZQA
If you want to be a NZQA approved translator you can register by posting a certified copy of your NZSTI membership certificate to the Verification Service of NZQA (PO Box 160, Wellington, New Zealand). You need to inform them of the languages for which you are a FULL member, and the direction. For further details please contact NZQA.

Membership Card

The NZSTI ID card is available for use by full members. The card will state whether the holder is an interpreter or translator and will give the primary languages the holder is qualified to work in.

To obtain a card, just send a passport format photo against a white background, indicating the form you wish to have your name presented and stating your primary language combination(s). The cost is $30 per card.

Please send a cheque made out to NZSTI (Inc) with the above details and your photograph to Patrick King (patrick@nztrans.co.nz) c/- NZ Translation Centre Ltd, PO Box 27-312, Wellington.

NZSTI Stamp

NZSTI has a stamp for full members to use when certifying translations. Each stamp will show the member's name and one language pair (with direction indicated). The cost is $50 per stamp.

Please send a cheque made out to NZSTI (Inc) to the National Secretary, New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters, PO Box 109-677, Newmarket, Auckland. Please remember to specify the language pair(s) required.
