Online course in Terminology Nov 2010

 

The Postgraduate Diploma in Terminology and Professional Needs is the second level of Online Postgraduate Programme in Terminology offered by the Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

***Objectives***

 

This Postgraduate Diploma (Intermediate Course) aims to:

 

-help achieving a deep and solid knowledge foundation within the fundamental issues of Terminology in its different interdisciplinary areas

- examine in detail the relationship terminology has with documentation, translation, lexicography, linguistic standardization, language learning, and linguistic engineering

Unit 1: Terminology and Documentation

Unit 2: Terminology and Translation

Unit 3: Terminology, Terminography and Lexicography

Unit 4: Terminology, International and Linguistic Standardization

Unit 5: Terminology and Language Teaching

Unit 6: Terminology, Language Engineering and Computational Linguistics

Course: From October 6, 2010 to January 11, 2011

Pre-registration: Permanently open until September 30, 2010
