Language, Style, Vision

NZCLT ANNUAL LECTURE 2017

In honour of St Jerome’s Day, join Emeritus Professor Brian Nelson from Monash University for a discussion of 19th-Century French writer Emile Zola’s work and the challenges facing translators of his novels. Since 1999, Professor Nelson has published new translations of six of the Zola series with Oxford University Press, the latest being La Terre (The Earth) in 2016.
